About the club

Cheddar Valley Junior Football Club is a Charter Standard Club in Cheddar where both boys and girls enjoy playing league and club football from age 5 up to 16. Our home pitches are at the Kings of Wessex High School (under 5s to under 10s), Fairlands Middle School (under 11s and under 12s) and Sharpham Playing Fields (under 13s - under 16s). Players are coached and supported by volunteers, often parents. All coaches have completed a FA DBS check and Safeguarding children qualification.

We have a strong club ethos which focuses on fun and inclusivity for all players, regardless of ability. Our aim is to facilitate an environment where all players can develop their skills and achieve success in a safe, friendly and fun atmosphere.

We are proud of our name Cheddar Valley Junior Football Club, to which the word Valley remains important to us, including children from the surrounding villages of Cheddar.

We are also incredibly proud of all of our players, coaches and families involved.

We have strong links with the senior football club within the village of Cheddar where there is a direct pathway to adult football via U18s who are currently playing in the mid week flood light league.
